Zombie, by Phillip Ginn
From Inktober 2015. This zombie came out more as a sketch than as a finished piece. It was certainly fun to draw decaying flesh. Done mostly with a Raphael #3 sable brush and Koh-I-Noor black drawing ink and inkwash on Strathmore 500 2-ply Bristol board.
Inktober was created in 2009 by artist Jake Parker. His goal was to challenge himself to improve his inking skills and work on developing better drawing habits. Since then, many illustrators around the world participate in Inktober, drawing as many ink drawings as they can – the standard being one a day – throughout October, and they share their work via social media.
