Freddy Krueger, by Phillip Ginn

Truth be told, I’ve never seen A Nightmare On Elm Street. But Freddy Krueger, as a character design, is pretty sweet. And creepy. With this piece of fanart, I wanted to play around with the contrast of Freddy’s famous shirt.

Strathmore 500 2-ply Bristol Board, archival Koh-I-Noor ink, and a bit of white out for effect.

Inktober was created in 2009 by artist Jake Parker. His goal was to challenge himself to improve his inking skills and work on developing better drawing habits. Since then, many illustrators around the world participate in Inktober, drawing as many ink drawings as they can – the standard being one a day – throughout October, and they share their work via social media.
