This piece of Edward Scissorhands fanart is from October 2015’s Inktober and is one of my favorite pieces. That year, I chose horror and macabre movie characters as my theme. 8.5×11 on Strathmore 500 2-ply Bristol board and done with dip pen, brush, and archival Koh-I-Noor drawing ink.

Inktober was created in 2009 by artist Jake Parker. His goal was to challenge himself to improve his inking skills and work on developing better drawing habits. Since then, many illustrators around the world participate in Inktober, drawing as many ink drawings as they can – the standard being one a day – throughout October, and they share their work via social media.
