Scarecrow On The Farm, by Phillip Ginn
One of the very few non-fanart pieces I did for Inktober 2015. This was inspired merely by the simple concept of the scarecrow, a staple of Halloween icons. I like how simple this turned out. Koh-I-Noor black ink and a bit of inkwash and white ink on Strathmore 500 2-ply Bristol board.
Inktober was created in 2009 by artist Jake Parker. His goal was to challenge himself to improve his inking skills and work on developing better drawing habits. Since then, many illustrators around the world participate in Inktober, drawing as many ink drawings as they can – the standard being one a day – throughout October, and they share their work via social media.
