Description
Dancer, by Phillip Ginn
A study in chiaroscuro, limited palette, and impressionistic lighting. It reminds of the famous Flashdance scene… even though there’s no chair. Or water. It mostly conveys that same sense of drama, power, and inertia.
Inspired by a public domain stage photo taken by Albert Izquierdo.
Done in November 2020 with ink and watercolor on 11×15 140lb rough Arches watercolor paper.
Printed on Red River Aurora Natural White 64lb fine art paper using long-lasting dye inks.
